  • Today @rinemansouri writes about the little island of Socotra, Yemen. A place that got caught in the middle of a war, leaving the people and the environment without protection. Link in bio! #utblick #yemeniwar #geopolitics
  • Today we have some very exciting news to share with you. We are partnering up with Enlight Studies, to bring some amazing articles that were published on their platform to ours. Every Thursday. So stay tuned for some great reading to come! Our first article in this exchange is now up on utblick.org.
Some believe that the "international court,” like a mythical monster, can seize the state budget. But what is international arbitration and what happens when the dispute settlement enters the stage of the ICSID resolution? Learn more about it in Lusine Hovhannisyan's article. Link in bio!

  • Utblick now welcomes pitch submissions for our next print issue. The theme for the next issue is "The Neglected Issue"

This theme entails all the stories that remain the quiet elephants in the room, the shadow reports, the subjects that rarely get headlines, the questions that no one dares to ask. Do you have a story, an issue, or analysis that you feel gets left out of the newspapers? Do you want to write about what is rarely talked about?

It aims to bring to light problems that are, perhaps, not common knowledge or discussed in mainstream media but should be, either because they affect us, might affect us in the future or because they should concern us in principle.

Send us your pitch! Deadline is 31/1/2021.

  • Today we publish an article by guest writers Francesca Filip, who worries about the fast decreasing number of cancer screenings happening, since the start of the pandemic. What will be the longterm consequences to people's health as screenings become less common? Read it on utblick.org!
